Working with Canva has allowed me to explore a variety of illustration styles in short amounts of time. All the briefs require at least 20-40 elements to turn it into a collection. Trained as an art director in advertising, I considered this as creative roleplay and a practice in restraint. You dissect what a brief demands and use that as a general guideline in all your creative decisions and work through Canva’s limitations as an app.
